This project consists of the expansion and refurbishing of existing single-family housing. The owners prioritized the intervention in the kitchen and living room, which will be the main spaces of the house.
We designed the kitchen to be the new center of the house, as it will also be the dining area and where the family will gather during the day. For this reason, the design was conceived with warm colors and materials, giving comfortable space for the station. It is where much of the enlargement takes place and where big openings are created to allow natural lighting and mixing with the environment creating a open space feeling.
The living room like the rest of the place has walls covered with lime plaster, giving a Mediterranean air thanks to the warm materials and arches reminiscent of traditional construction, incorporating elements of contemporary architecture.
